Tye Dye Koi

The Tie Dye Circles technique is from the April/May 2014 issue of Technique Junkies. 

The colours I used were: Broken China, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans.

The Koi stamp was embossed in Black.

Tie Dye Circle Bamboo

The Tie Dye Circles technique is from the April/May 2014 issue of Technique Junkies. 

The colours I used were: Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint.

The Bamboo stamp was embossed in Early Espresso.

Tie Dyed Koi

The Tie Dye Circles technique is from the April/May 2014 issue of Technique Junkies.  The colours I used for the circles were Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Evergreen Bough.  I stamped the Koi with Evergreen Bough and then misted it slightly for a more watercoloured look.  The paper is Taken with Teal and Garden Green.

Tie Dye Circled Gecko

This technique (Tie Dye Circles) is from the April/May 2014 issue of Technique Junkies.  The colours I used for the circles were Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade -- all distress inks.  The Gecko and sentiment were stamped in Early Espresso.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Wednesday

Here is the card for today.  It uses a new technique called "Tye Dye Circles" from the latest issue of Technique Junkie.

To make the circles I used Distress inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean) on watercolour paper.  I stamped Mike's large Seahorse in Salty Ocean.  The swirls made out of circles are made from a stencil and some embossing paste.  I distressed the edges a little bit and added some white yarn and a sentiment from Stampin Up!  The blue paper is Pacific Point.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Friday

I love the new technique "Tie Dye Circles" from the latest issue of Technique Junkie!  I find it perfect for Mike's stamps also!  I used "Tea Dye", "Ripe Persimmon" and "Gathered Twigs" to make the circles in this card.

I stamped Mike's big Gecko also in "Gathered Twigs" and the paper is "Chocolate Chip" and "Tangerine Tango".  I added some burlap, "Pumpkin Pie" brads and an old Stampin Up! sentiment.  Here's the completed 5.25" x 5.25" card:
