The colours here are Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon. I masked off a section of watercolour paper and used a paintbrush to brush on some Twisted Citron on the left and some Mermaid Lagoon on the right. They blended a bit in the middle. Here I used watered down re-inkers so the colour was a bit more vibrant. The pony is embossed in black. The paper is Island Indigo. It's a pretty simple card 'cause sometimes you just have time for those.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Friday
So one more card before my little pony goes galloping off into the sunset.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Technique Thursday
I used the Ombré technique on this card. I actually just made it up so it's not really a technique. Ombré basically means to move from one colour hue to another gradually.
To create the card I took some Summer Sun (very old Stampin Up! colour) re-inker and blended it with some Tangerine Tango re-inker. At the top of the card I painted on just the yellow ink and then gradually added more and more orange until the bottom, which is all orange. Quick and easy.
The pony was then embossed in black.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Tuesday
I embossed the pony with clear embossing powder on watercolour paper. Then I sprayed with water and added some brown Bister and sprayed some more. Some canvass, vanilla brads and a vanilla die cut completed the look.
The card is 5.5x5.5. Vanilla paper matted with Early Espresso cardstock.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Friday
My card for today uses the May/June sketch Hetty gave to us. I also used the kissing technique I showed yesterday to create the background for the card. This time I stamped my solid stamp in Marina Mist and stamped Mike's small flower in Pacific Point. The Pony was stamped on top in black. I also sprayed some shimmer spray on top just to give it a nice shine. The paper is Pacific Point.
The finished card is 5.25x5.25.

Michael Strong Card of the Day - Monday
I finally made a card with my new Pony stamp! First I stamped Mike's Cloisonne Pony in Versamark on white cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I sprayed some Lindy's two toned spray (Milk Chocolate Brown) and some Dylusions spray (Melted Chocolate) on top. Once that was dry I used a star stencil and sponged on some Chocolate Chip ink. The embossing resisted all the inks so the pony could shine through! I mounted on white cardstock and then put on some Chocolate Chip paper. I had some silver brads with stars on them so added those and a sentiment.
The finished card is 5.25x5.25 and quite shimmery thanks to the Lindy's spray.
